Increase of the debt of airlines

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) predicts that airline debt will reach 550 billion $ by the end of this year.  That's 120 billion $ more than the International Atomic Energy Agency forecasted earlier this year.   More than half of the new debt is related to government loans, deferred taxes and loan guarantees.

Renewal of Turkish Airlines flights canceled

Turkish Airlines announced in a statement;   Cancellation and suspension of international flights will be extended at least until June 10.   The airline's return flight will also be announced on June 4, 2020.

The British government's plan to force quarantine passengers on international flights is foolish and unenforceable

Ryanair Airlines CEO Michael O'Leary emphasized;   Neither passengers have complied with the new restrictions, nor do the police have the capacity to monitor its proper implementation.  The 14-day quarantine of passengers has no medical or scientific basis, and the best course of action is to use a mask.  The plan has no credibility and is likely to be called off in the coming weeks until the end of June due to disobedience by passengers.

Bankruptcy of Japanese hotels and airlines in the Coronavirus crisis

According to a study published by a research company in Japan, 33 hotels in this country have gone bankrupt so far.  On the other hand, the number of passengers on international and domestic flights of Nippon Airlines in March decreased by 72% and 60%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.  Also, the number of passengers on domestic and international flights of Japan Airlines has decreased by 73% and 57%, respectively.

Airlines oppose the social distancing rules on flights

John Grant, a senior analyst at OAG, said the social distance was temporary, but if it continued, it would have to be compensated by passengers.  The International Air Transport Union (IATA) also claimed in its latest statement that by reducing the incidence of the disease, masking can also protect travelers from getting the disease

Turkey's plan to save the tourism industry

Turkey's tourism minister has announced the issuance of special work permits that allow hotels and their staff to operate during the summer.  The licenses will be issued by the International Certification Authority, which guarantees the operation of hotels, restaurants, the transport sector and other tourism services in the strongest possible terms.

The Spanish National Statistics Office said;   64.3% decrease in International tourism  in Spain due to Coronavirus  This drop in tourist arrivals was recorded in March because hotels and hotels apartment were empty of guests.   The world's second largest tourist destination in March this year had only 2 million visitors.

80% reduction in international tourists

The latest report from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO);   According to the report, the number of international tourists has decreased by 22% in the first three months of this year.   On the other hand, the number of international tourists entering at the "March", has decreased sharply by 57%. According to the report, the extent of global tourism damage depends on the timing of the reopening of the borders.   The World Tourism Organization predicts that, compared to the reopening of borders in July, September or December, the number of international tourists will decrease by 58 to 78 percent.

Possible change of use of hotels around the world

Hadi Shirazi, secretary of the Iranian Tour Operators Association, said; Incomming tourism has reached absolute zero.   International tourism virtually disappeared in 2020.  We have missed two busy seasons of spring and fall 2020, and all our tours have been canceled.  Some hotels may change their use because they may not improve well for several years.
