First agritourism farm to make debut in Minudasht

First agritourism farm to make debut in Minudasht

The first-ever agritourism permit in Minudasht county has been issued for a vast farm, which is located in the lush green Golestan province in northern Iran, Minudasht tourism director announced on Sunday. Such permits are granted to eligible farm owners in the country to launch agritourism businesses, aiming to set certain standards in a move to ensure the quality of their services. Setting up in an area of 40 hectares, the farm is expected to create jobs for 100 people,” Reza Pourmehdi said, CHTN reported. The farm includes a greenhouse, gardens of blueberry, olive, pears, peaches, cherries, nectarines, pomegranates, and it has sections for wheat cultivation, and animal breeding, fish farming, and beekeeping, the official explained. Agritourism is a relatively new branch of the travel industry in which tourists stay with local people in rural areas. Farm/ranch recreation refers to activities conducted on private agricultural lands, which might include fee-hunting and fishing, overnight stays, educational activities, etc. Experts believe that in addition to the customer services jobs, agritourism pays special attention to the production sector, saying agricultural tourism is much more important and practical than other branches of tourism because it creates a new chain and diversity in the field of production and services. Agritourism and nature-tourism enterprises might include outdoor recreation (fishing, hunting, wildlife study, horseback riding), educational experiences (cannery tours, cooking classes, or tea or coffee tasting), entertainment (harvest festivals or barn dances), hospitality services (farm stays, guided tours, or outfitter services), and on-farm direct sales (u-pick operations or roadside stands). Agritourism is a subset of a larger industry called rural tourism that includes resorts, off-site farmers' markets, non-profit agricultural tours, and other leisure and hospitality businesses that attract visitors to the countryside.

Blue Water Development Sells Two Bethany Beach, Delaware Hotels

Blue Water Development Sells Two Bethany Beach, Delaware Hotels

Blue Water Development, a premier real estate investment and outdoor hospitality management company, recently announced the sale of the only two hotels in the popular East Coast beach community of Bethany Beach, Del. The 112-room Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, Residence Inn by Marriott, and the 100-room Holiday Inn Express Bethany Beach were purchased by a privately-held real estate investment firm. Blue Water built the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites in 2015 as the first, and only, hotel on the resort’s boardwalk, and the oceanfront luxury hotel has been the upscale lodging of choice in Delaware’s Quiet Resorts ever since. “Our focus is creating standout accommodations for our guests, and we believed that navigating the complex process of a boardwalk build in one of the most desirable East Coast beach destinations would be well worth the effort – and we were right,” said Blue Water CEO Todd Burbage. “At Blue Water, we don’t shy away from complicated projects. The stellar performance of the Ocean Suites is just one example of our ongoing persistence and determination to create unique, high-end family-friendly assets in markets with high barriers to entry. We look forward to pursuing similar opportunities and know that we’re leaving this special project in good hands.” To further serve families and business travelers visiting Bethany Beach and the surrounding Coastal Delaware communities, Blue Water acquired the Holiday Inn Express in 2018. Offering an outdoor pool, fitness center, and ample meeting space, this is the only other hotel in the immediate area and is just two blocks from the beach. “Building, owning and operating these hotels – along with our numerous water-adjacent properties – has provided us with unique insights on what family beachgoers are looking for in both a destination and an experience,” Burbage added. “We’re excited to apply these insights to new regions throughout the country and work to provide the ultimate vacation experience for all of our camping, glamping and hoteling families.”

Bill Ryczek, Principal of Colebrook Financial said: “We’ve worked with Cecil Latta on other projects and are delighted to finance his new offering in the Dominican Republic.  He’s been known for years as one of the top sales and marketers in the timeshare industry, and we’re glad to see him developing his own project for the first time.  We think there’s some real opportunity for growth, and thus far sales have been terrific, despite current travel conditions.  Once travel opens up, we expect excellent results.” Latitude and Cecil Latta have had a working relationship with Colebrook Financial Company’s  Bill Ryczek and Tom  Petrisko for years. Latta says, “Getting to know them, their personal and professional integrity made working with them a simple choice. What about Colebrook is outstanding?  Even during the most challenging of times Colebrook has stuck to their lending plans when many others decided not to.” Colebrook is a pioneer in many forms of financing and began working with club products before most lenders. Few competitors can match their longevity in the industry.  They enjoy a  reputation for adapting to new situations more quickly than larger institutions.

Kish Island to become intl tourist destination for Fisher's New Year celebrations

Kish Island to become intl tourist destination for Fisher's New Year celebrations

Head of Tourism Development and Cultural Heritage office of Kish Free Zone has said that the Persian Gulf island will become an international tourist destination for Fisher's New Year or as it called in the local language Nowruz-e Sayyad day. Nowruze Sayyad Day or Fisher's New Year is being celebrated annually on July 19. Locals, especially fishermen in southern regions of Iran, celebrate Nowruz-e Sayyad day, meaning the Fisher's New Year. Fishing is a major part of the island’s life and different seasons and periods are defined according to its cycles. Unlike other parts of Iran which celebrate the costumery Nowruz in late March, local people in southern Islands celebrate their New Year as well which called the Fisherman’s Nowruz, (Norwuz-e Sayyad) at the beginning of the main fishing season in late July. In this ceremony, the villagers wear new clothes and paint their animals with a red mud called Gelak and take them to the sea, and the indigenous women receive guests with cooked pastries made from dates called Ranginak. The locals would not go fishing or eat fish or other seafood on this day and believe that all fish are free and should reproduce. Head of Tourism Development and Cultural Heritage office of Kish Free Zone Mahan Modavvan told IRNA on Saturday that his organization, according to its goal and duties, is seeking to hold Nowruz-e Sayyad Day or Fisher's New Year celebrations in the summer festivals that are being held annually in this region. He said that various festivals such as fishing, seafood, water-based activities, and handicrafts exhibitions are scheduled in this celebration too. Although Kish Island is active in different sections of trade as well as oil and gas - it was even the greatest trading hub in the Persian Gulf during the Seljuk empire (1037-1194 AD) - its economy today is based mostly on tourism. The Island has the required infrastructure so that it has been called "the most complete international tourist region in Iran". Hosting about 1.5 million tourists every year, Kish Island has an average of 20,000 internal and international flights annually. It has 52 hotels (12 5-star ones), 2 apartment hotels and 2 resorts. However, the coronavirus outbreak hit the Island's tourism industry this year, so that it is now using its minimum capacity after two months of total lockdown.
